Apply for ageing grants, Provest urges Tweed community groups
Tweed Nationals MP Geoff Provest is encouraging Tweed community groups, not-for-profit organisations and Tweed Shire Council to apply for State Government grants of up to $50,000 to promote “positive, active ageing.”
“The Tweed has one of the highest proportions of older people of any region in Australia, so we should take advantage of this funding opportunity,” Mr Provest said.
The 2009 Positive Ageing Grants application form is available from government website www.dadhc.nsw.gov.au or by calling the Seniors Information Service on 13 12 44.
Applications close on 27 November 2009.
